Want to help Perrywinks launch?

Perrywinks is a third space to spark creativity and facilitate community.

We’re supported by a makerspace, specialty drinks, and retail (books, local-made goods, and more!)

Start-Up Fundraising Streams

  • Small Business Loan

If gifts/personal loans are acquired, a traditional business loan will help close the gap between initial fundraising and start-up needs. I will apply for this loan when a space is located so I know precisely how much the lease costs.

  • Business Gifts

A set amount given to support the business, no strings attached. Amount dependant on your budget and gift limits set by the IRS (speak with your CPA to determine details). Used for general business launch needs or covers costs that may not easily fit into loan categories.

  • Friends & Family Loans

An amount of money given with the expectation of repayment, plus interest if requested, as determined per each loan offered. The loan amount would match specific categories, allowing you to fund meaningfully. (Note: We are not offering shares of the business for investing.)

Next Steps

Request more information! If you’re interested in supporting Perrywinks but don’t feel like you know enough about our plans, we can share the following: Business plan, visual walkthrough, start-up costs estimate, and/or revenue and cost projections.

  • Consider and research financials. Speak with your CPA or financial advisor to determine amounts and tax implications before committing.

  • Communicate your intentions: Reach out to Sarah with your intent.

    • Gifts - State the amount you are willing to offer and that it’s a gift. (This can be discussed in person, but should be in writing in some form, like an email, at some point). We can then connect you directly with the business bank account to make your gift (via Wright Patt Credit Union, a local Dayton bank.)

    • Loans - We’ll start a process to generate a loan agreement. Inform us the amount you’d like to loan and which category to support. We’ll work with an attorney to draw up the loan terms, including interest rates (if requested; otherwise direct loan repayment with no interest) and payment schedules.

Anyone who gives – gift or loan – will receive regular communications regarding the business progress. These will be delivered via email.

We would like to keep this Friends & Family funding round to people with a direct connection to Sarah. Feel free to share within our close circles, but do not share beyond people who have an existing relationship with Sarah (ex. You should actually be a friend or family member!)

Important note: You are free to inquire about the business progress, but keep in mind, this does not make you a shareholder/co-owner/decision-maker for the business.

Loan Categories

All amounts below are estimates. Loan are given with the understanding exact total may be higher or lower than amount shown. Breakdowns of each estimate available upon request. Estimates here rounded up to account for the inevitable unexpected costs.

First come, first serve! If a category is taken, we’ll work with you to match your loan budget with the existing unmet needs.

Have a different amount in mind? We can shift or split up larger allocated categories to accommodate your target budgeted amount. This list doesn’t cover all our costs, namely coffee equipment and gathering space furniture, so there are other categories to support and portion out as well.
